Your Gateway to Wellness in Hillcrest
Healing happens when you feel safe. At Alter Behavioral Health’s Hillcrest location, we’ve created a safe and structured environment where recovery is possible. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma, our residential program offers the personalized treatment you deserve. You’re not just another patient; you’re in the hands of a compassionate team committed to your transformation.
We understand that healing can be challenging in a clinic-like setting. That’s why at our centre you’ll feel like you’re stepping into a sanctuary. You’ll feel right at home. Our Hillcrest facility combines evidence-based therapy with comfort, helping you focus on what matters most: your recovery.
Your surroundings should help your mental health journey, not hinder it.
Here’s what you get:
Every corner here supports your healing journey without feeling clinical or cold.
Healing is personal. Our Hillcrest team understands that a one-size-fits-all approach won’t work for recovery. When you arrive, our team will evaluate your situation and create a personal treatment plan for you. Our therapists understand that what works for one client might not work for another. We’ll tailor our approach to meet you where you are. Many clients arrive exhausted from struggling alone—our role is to help you rediscover hope.
Whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, or major life transitions, we’re here to support you. Individual therapy will focus on your specific needs. Group sessions will provide connection support from others. Treatment here focuses on practical skills you can use long after you leave.
Most people hesitate to reach out because they assume mental health care is out of their budget. But what if you don’t have to pay out of your pocket? At Alter Behavioral Health, we work with major insurance providers to make treatment more accessible. Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Magellan, Optum, and many other companies are our partners. Our team handles the verification process and helps you understand what you’ll actually pay.
Our experienced clinicians want to see you get better. These experts combine skills with genuine compassion. Our team brings different strengths, but all share a commitment to your well-being.

We don’t just follow trending treatments hoping they’ll work. At our Hillcrest location, we use multiple evidence-based therapies tailored to your specific needs and goals.
After a few sessions, you’ll start noticing differences. You’ll respond differently to triggers. You’ll feel and accept emotions without being overwhelmed. You’ll think carefully before making decisions. The work isn’t always easy, but with consistency, you can experience real healing and lasting relief.
Taking the first step toward healing is difficult. But knowing what to expect can make it easier. We give flexibility with structure.
We believe healing requires a predictable structure that lets your nervous system settle, not a rigid structure.
Hillcrest residents deserve to heal. If depression makes you feel empty, if anxiety holds you back, what are you waiting for? Getting treatment early can prevent the escalation of symptoms. By the time you complete your program, you’ll have the tools and confidence you didn’t think possible.
